Day 18 of lockdown… that means we have missed approximately 50 periods and 20 trips to see the canteen. I have been trapped in my house with my…lovely brothers and one extra teenager from Hong Kong who couldn’t get home! My parents are both essential workers, being a Beekeeper and a Nurse, they have been busy and stressed, grumpy at times. So how have I, Toby been coping with life in this bubble. In my dad’s bee world, it’s time for the honey to be extracted from the hives so I thought I would work the night shift. Hard work, sticky hands and sweaty overalls but dreaming of all the butter chicken pies I can buy off off Lynlee. Inside my weird bubble I’ve also been coping in other ways, the first not so healthy option is my newfound obsession with Netflix Party – being able to watch movies with my mates has wasted many hours. My more active option has been to run around the farm, working on my fitness and making sure all those extra trips to the fridge won’t mean I will need a new blazer when we go back to school. So, the school holidays are over we need to get down to some study and do the right thing. My advice to you all is to try and limit those Netflix movies, structure your day as best you can, keep checking those emails from your teachers, complete your work, stay active and be kind.
