The Environment Committee are taking part in the Hawke's Bay School Climate Challenge Challenge run by HB Regional Council this year and have decided to focus on Waste Reduction as their project, part of which is to introduce a recycling programme. To implement this, they have been working with Mr Themba Ncomanzi at Central Hawke's Bay Council to introduce recycling at CHBC. Today we had a Recycling Pod delivered, for plastics, paper and glass, as well as white tubs to collect the school lunch trays which will also be recycled. Huge thanks to the CHB Council for funding this.

We encourage all students to get behind this project and make sure they recycle any paper, plastic or glass they have, rather than put it in the rubbish bin!
