Paige and Bree Franklin recently represented the College at the NZSS Open Water Swim Champs in Rotorua. Paige competed in two events, the 1km and 500m races in which are swum only 20mins apart. In the 1km race she gained the bronze medal for the 16–19-year-old girls age group and backed this up with another bronze medal in the 500m race. Bree completed in the 500m event and placed a commendable 6th in 14–15-year-old girls age group.
