This group of young athletes was inspiring to watch, wanting to get better each and every game. The way they worked together and backed each other is everything that Ruataniwha is about.
With this group only having had one training together and only having 10 players to take the field we knew it was going to be a tough battle but these kids were up for it, they showed resilience and determination and have definitely proven Ruataniwha isn't a team to take lightly.
The future of Ruataniwha Kī-o-Rahi is in good hands and we can't wait to see how far these young athletes can go in Kī-o-Rahi.
A huge thank you to our coaching team and parents that supported our players on their trip and to the community that has supported their fundraising events to get them there.
