Former TVNZ Sunday reporter, host of Survivor New Zealand, and Celebrity Treasure Island, Matt Chisholm was in school today speaking with Year 12 and 13 students. As part of his “Time Out” tour, Matt shared his story about the challenges he has faced dealing with and navigating his way around anxiety and depression.
He had some hard-hitting messages and great advice.
He spoke about the importance of talking and looking after your greatest asset – yourself and the people around you.
We are very grateful to Rural Support, in particular, regional and local coordinators Jonathan Bell and Nikki Henderson for coordinating Matt’s visit.
Students were reminded by our Guidance Counsellor Mary Kippenberger of the in-school support should it be required.
