On Friday 10 May our Chess Team attended the Hawke's Bay Intermediate / Secondary Schools Individual Tournament in Hastings.

Year 10 student, Euan Cruise won 23/24 games, seizing the 23rd spot from his higher ranked opponent from Lindisfarne in the last match.

Sagar Singh 28/28 after his last round opponent had to leave resulting in a draw robbing him of the chance to lift his placing.

David McIntyre 28/35  with 2 wins and a tough first round match versus the top rated Dion Wilson rated 1984 who went on to win.

Carter Drake 35/35 finishing with 1 point
