North Island Secondary School Athletics Championships

Central Hawke’s Bay College had three students representing Hawke’s Bay/East Coast in the NISSCA event over the weekend in Palmerston North.  Congratulations to Caitlin Kirk who won the Girls Under 16 2000m Steeplechase event and also finished 10^th in the 3000m event. Melia Neilson finished 6^th in the Intermediate Girls Javelin event and Jake Edwards finished 4^th in the Senior Boys Javelin event.

NZ Swimming Championships

Paige Franklin (Y11) and Lucas Perceval (Y12) competed in the NZ Swimming Championships, this is an open event and attracts the top swimmers in NZ from all age groups. 

Paige competed in the 100m breast stroke, gaining another long course personal best and making the A final finishing 7th. 

At the time of printing Lucas's races had not been completed.
