Next Tuesday, the 9th of April, is the Year 9 Peer Support Activity Day. The Year 9 students, Year 12 and 13 Peer Support leaders and the Year 9 mentor teachers will go through a rotation of fun/ team building activities at Russell Park. EPIC staff members will also be assisting with these activities. This will begin at 11.00am and finish at the end of the school day. The purpose of this day is to continue to develop the positive relationships between Year 9 students, their Peer Support leaders and Mentors and to support the Year 9 students’ development of key competencies such as: Managing Self, Relating to Others, and Participating and Contributing.
Students will still have normal lessons for period 1 and 2. They will need to bring their P.E gear, a spare change of clothes, hat, towel, sunscreen, a heathy lunch that will sustain them for the afternoon (school lunches will be available before they leave) and a water bottle.
