Nominations for the position of Student Trustee representative on the Board of Trustees of Central Hawke's Bay College will be available from Wednesday, 28^th August from the Returning Officer.

Nomination forms and further particulars can be obtained from the Principal’s PA office at the College.  A copy of the voting roll will also be available for inspection.

• Nominations close at 12.00pm on Tuesday 3^rd September 2024
• Nominees will be expected to support their nominations with a prepared address at full school assembly on Thursday, 5^th September 2024.

• Voting will take place during Mentor Group Time on Monday, 9^th September
  (Late votes will be accepted up until the 19^th of September).

• Votes will then be counted on Wednesday, 25^th September.
• Announced during full assembly Thursday, 26^th September.

The term of the Student Trustee is for one year commencing from the 26^th September 2024 board
meeting (First meeting will me the 21^st of October).

Student trustees are expected to:

• Attend and act as an advocate for students at Board of Trustee meetings (monthly).
• Be an active member of the student executive.
• Act as an ambassador for the students at College events.
• Assume appropriate leadership roles.
• Act as an ambassador for the College at Community events.
• Uphold the school values.
