Lucas Perceval and Paige Franklin competed at this National swimming event held at the Regional Aquatic Centre in Hastings with 470 other swimmers from across the country in the first week of the holidays.

Lucas swum 7 events in which he made 6 finals (as top 10 fastest in age group) where he achieved 3 top 5 placings including the bronze medal in the 100m Butterfly for 15- year-old boys.

Paige made the finals of 3 events she swum and achieved top 5 finishes in 50m and 100m Breaststoke for the 14-year-old girls.

It is a great achievement for both swimmers, not only to qualify to attend this national event, but to perform well in the finals and finish in the top 5 in the country. Well done Lucas and Paige.
