Staff Sporting Success


Over the weekend we had several staff participating in some very challenging events.

IRONMĀORI  was first established in 2009 and run’s multi-sport events.  From the first event in 2009 with 300 people, to now holding events across New Zealand with up to 6000 participants.  They run the largest Half and Quarter triathlon in New Zealand. 

Mātua Marino, competed in the half IM (2km swim, 90km cycle  21km run/walk).  Judy Shepherd won her age group in the quarter IM (1km swim-45km cycle-10.5km run).  

Lee Oliver, Delwyn Eason and Jo Baker completed the Gentle Annie Bike Ride (long climbs, steep climbs & long steep climbs), which is a 133km bike ride with over 2550m of climbing from Taihape to Hastings. This is one of the hilliest bike rides in the country.
