The College is fortunate in having considerable support from the community in the way of Scholarships for senior students going on to tertiary education. Many of the scholarships have strict guidelines as to the awarding process. Others are subject based.
While the academic record of a student is taken into account, the awarding of each of these scholarships also takes into account the strength of the applicant's written application, and if shortlisted, the way they present themselves at the interview.
All application forms for these scholarships are available from Mrs Baker in the Principal's Office or the School Website (link below). Forms need to be completed (and include cover letters and CV's) and must be returned by Friday 30th September.
The applicants are then short-listed for interviews starting at the end of Term Three and continuing into Term Four. Applicants will be notified of the outcome in writing.
Successful applicants will be awarded their scholarship at Senior Prize Giving.
Senior Managers will decide on the recipients of several other scholarships that are available (applications are not required): Fred Hansen, Joy Ockenden, Brian Bird, BPW CHB, CHB Federation of Woman's Institute, RA Foster, Jack Williams and Duke of Edinburgh.
