Olympic Games

Keep an eye out for two former CHB College students at the Tokyo Olympics which have just started. Regan Gough who is competing as a member of the cycling Teams Pursuit which is held on Tuesday 3rd August.  Also look out for David Tomlinson who is umpiring hockey at the games.  Congratulations and best of luck to both of these former CHB College products.

 

Representative Hockey

Emily Brun competed in the National Under 18 Hockey Tournament in Wellington over the holidays as a member of the Hawke’s Bay team. Emily’s team finished the tournament undefeated in 5th place after failing to make to top four on goal difference. A great effort Emily.

 

Trampoline Nationals

Over the holidays several students participated in the Trampoline Nationals in Auckland. Kerrin Harrison, Caitlin Kirk, Kegan Kirk and Lachie Kirk all gained medals.  Caitlin finished 3rd in the Synchro Trampoline, Kerrin and Kegan finished 2nd in the Sychro Trampoline as a team and Kegan was also National Champion for his Individual Trampoline event. Lachie won the Tumbling and Double Mini Trampoline events and was named the overall National Junior International Men’s Champion.  A fantastic effort by everyone.

 

Cross Country Champion

Congratulations to Caitlin Kirk who won the Hawke’s Bay/Gisborne Cross Country Championships over the holidays.
