
Fourteen students competed in the ECNISS Cross Country in Gisborne on Wednesday June 9th. On a fast and flat course, the runners represented the College really well, with all three teams making the top three in their age group. Results as follows:
Year 9 Girls 3rd overall
Year 9 Boys 2nd overall
Junior Girls 3rd overall
Special mention and congratulations to Caitlin Kirk who gained a bronze medal, coming 3rd place in Year 9 girls, Wills Carter, 4th place in Year 9 boys and Vann Harley 4th place in Junior Boys. These three students will run as part of an East Coast Schools relay team at the New Zealand Secondary School Cross-Country Champs in Hawera on Sunday June 20th. Caitlin will also compete in the individual race on the Saturday. We wish them all the best for this event.
