Recipes for Year 10 students Thai Sweet Chilli MinceIngredients 1 clove garlic ¼ onion ¼ carrot ¼ parsnip ¼ c cabbage 1 t oil 100 g mince ¼ c pasta ¾ c water 1 T Thai sweet chilli sauce Method Prepare vegetables – crush garlic, slice onion and cabbage, dice carrot and parsnip. Heat oil in a pan. Add mince, onion and garlic and cook until brown. Add carrot, parsnip, pasta, water and Thai sweet chilli sauce. Simmer for 15 minutes. Add cabbage. Simmer for 2 minutes. Serve garnished with chives. Chilli con Carne Ingredients 1 t oil ¼ onion 1 clove garlic Pinch of each: Cumin Oreganum Paprika 100 g mince Pinch salt ½ t sugar 1 T tomato puree ½ c water ½ c baked beans Method Heat oil and sauté onion and garlic. Add spices and mince and cook for 1 minute. Add sugar, salt, tomato puree and water. Simmer for 15 minutes. Add baked beans, heat through and serve.
