Preheat oven to 220:C.Sift flour, baking powder and salt into a bowl.
Rub in butter using finger tips until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs.
Mix in milk lightly with a knife to form a soft dough.
Turn onto a lightly floured board and roll to 1.5 cm thickness.
Sprinkle with a filling like cinnamon sugar or cheese and roll up.
Cut into 4 scones and place on a baking tray.
Bake in the hot oven for 10 minutes.
Egg Nests
Ingredients1 potato1T oil1 egg1T grated cheeseMethod
Peel the potato. Dice into 1 cm cubes and dry well on a paper towel.
Heat oil in a frypan. Add diced potato and cook until lightly golden.
Drop egg into the centre of the potatoes and cover with cheese.
With lid on, cook over a low heat until the egg is set.
Serve garnished with parsley.
