- Know the four food groups and be able to place foods in them.
- Draw a food pyramid (using the four food groups)
- Have knowledge of salt, sugar and fat in the diet.
- Name the 6 essential nutrients.
- Be able to recognise calcium and iron as minerals.
- Know there are 6 main vitamins – A,D,E,K,B,C
- Introduced to the NZ Food & Nutrition Guidelines
- Knowledge of information included on food labels
